The Deep Council Series invites participants into a space of imagination, reflection, and shared connections. Each workshop explores a different layer of the forces that shape our lives — from the landscapes we inhabit to the energies we exchange, to the symbols that guide our understanding. Through meditation, creative practices, and intuitive tools such as tarot, the series imagines a set of “councils” where different forms of wisdom gather. Together we reflect on how care, creativity, and attention might help us re-envision our relationships with nature, with each other, and with the deeper patterns of life. They sometimes end in Karaoke. Always adapted to place, space and people.
The original workshop I developed uses performance, reflection and shared conversation to consider how humans belong within ecosystems and how imagination, care, and collective attention might help restore balance with the natural world. The Deep Ecology Council turns our attention to the non-human landscapes around us.
(Coming soon) Investigating the currents that move through society and through our relationships with one another. The Deep Energy Council looks at infrastructures that power our places to the subtle energies we exchange in conversation, collaboration, and community, inviting participants to reflect on how energy flows between people and through the systems we create together.
(Coming soon) The Deep Esoteric Council explores the quiet language of symbols, archetypes, and intuition. Using tarot and collective reflection, participants imagine a gathering of guides and storytellers who listen to the hidden meanings in landscapes and help us dream new possibilities for renewal.
(To be developed) Reflecting on the creative and relational forces that draw people toward connection, intimacy, and expression. Through symbolic exploration and open discussion, The Deep Erotic Council workshop considers how desire, care, and creativity shape the ways we relate to ourselves and to each other.
